As ministers of the gospel, we all need words of encouragement from one another. Having spent more than forty-five years in ministry, I fully understand the pressures that you face. I've been there. . . . I am there! In spite of its immense privileges, serving in full-time ministry can be challenging. You need to know you're not alone.
For that reason, my good friend Dave Carder, my daughter Colleen, and I will be hosting five sessions especially designed for you who are in full-time ministry. While Colleen's session will be open to all IFL conferees, the sessions Dave and I host will be for anyone currently serving on a church staff or the mission field. These intimate sessions will be opportunities for us to join together as co-laborers in Christ and connect on matters we all have in common. The response from our pastors' sessions on last year's cruise was overwhelmingly positive. I believe that this year will be even better.
And a little extra bonus: we will give a 10 percent discount to all full-time pastors and missionaries. This is in addition to a reduced cruise price! If you register online, you'll need to indicate in the comments box (where it asks about friends and family attending) that you are a pastor and give the name of your church or missionary organization. When you send in your registration fees, Inspiration Cruises and Tours will require a letter on the letterhead from the church or mission organization you serve stating your current position with them as an active, full-time pastor or missionary. This must be received in their offices in order to have the discount applied to your reservation.
