American Idol winner Fantasia could be in line with millions of other Americans. Media reports suggest that the singer "is about to lose her home." She says it's not true. According to TMZ, one of her homes in Charlotte, NC -- a 6-bedroom, 6,000 sq. ft. mansion -- which she bought back in 2007 for $1.3 million dollars is being foreclosed because she couldn't keep up on the payments.
The county will be auctioning off the house on January 12, 2009 unless she pays up. She's also got another house nearby.
A relative of the singer tells the New York Post, the whole thing is just a misunderstanding and she couldn't make a court hearing to address the issue. Barrino's lawyer has yet to comment on the matter.
